Walkway & Open Space Regulations




The walkway and open space system including all walks, parking areas, wooded areas, lakes, tot-lots, as well as parks and fields (Common Property), have been provided for the primary use, enjoyment, and benefit of Radisson Community Association Members and their guests.


WALKWAYS
  • Walkways are intended for the use of pedestrians, joggers, and bicyclists. Cyclists must in all cases give the right-of-way to pedestrians and joggers. Cyclists are asked not to block walkways and dock area. Park bicycles off walkway or in bike racks. No speeding or racing is permitted on the walkways.

  • No motorized vehicles, including motor bikes, ATV's, go-carts, snowmobiles, motorcycles, etc., are permitted on the walkways or any other Common Property with the exception of RCA Maintenance vehicles.

  • People walking dogs on walkways are required to clean up after their pet in consideration of others.

  • Rollerblading and skateboarding are permitted on RCA walkways. Aggressive in-line skating (ramps) is prohibited.



  • OPEN SPACE AREAS

       LAKES/PONDS
  • Swimming, boating, and playing on ice covered lakes/ponds is not permitted.

  • Fishing is permitted; however, Radisson has a mandatory "catch and release" policy for all game fish. This is to maintain the ecological balance, health, and future recreational value of the lakes/ponds. NYS game and fish regulations also apply.


  •    PARKS & FIELDS
  • Use is permitted during daylight hours only.

  • Organized leagues (T-ball, softball, soccer) and individuals must schedule field times through the RCA Office. Priority of use will be given to Radisson Members and then public organizations.


  •    MISCELLANEOUS
  • Cross country skiing is permitted only on marked trails.

  • No dumping or littering (including yard waste) of any kind is permitted on RCA Common Property. Trash receptacles are located throughout the community for convenience.

  • Cutting or removing trees, brush, etc., from RCA Common Property is prohibited.

  • Hunting, trapping, or discharging of firearms in Radisson is not permitted.

  • Loitering or causing a nuisance on RCA Common Property is not permitted.

  • Consumption of alcoholic beverages on RCA Common Property is prohibited, unless specifically authorized by the RCA. Consumption or possession of open alcoholic beverages is prohibited on RCA Common Property without an Open Container Permit from the Town of Lysander.

  • Use of RCA Common Property for commercial purposes is prohibited.

  • Overnight parking or storing of vehicles or equipment on RCA Common Property is not permitted. Vehicles will be towed at the owner's expense. A separate outdoor recreational vehicle storage facility is available through the RCA Office.
